Rojo’s food still shines, and the patio is a bonus on a nice day. This neighborhood restaurant, a fixture on Birmingham’s Southside for some 13 years now, offers covered, multicolored light-festooned sidewalk seating with a great view of passersby and Rushton Park across the street. And the menu—half Latin dishes and half American classics with lots of vegetarian options and many gluten-free foods—really does have something for everyone. If not, they’ll make it up.
